Milestones: Jumping Up & Down, and Aha! There It Is!
For almost a month now, shortly after he learnt to pull himself to standing position, Baby decided that he would rock himself and bounce up and down while holding the rail.
For the past week or so, he has been excelling in this up and down rocking, especially when Hubby's alarm rings in the morning to the tune of Paul Simon's, "You Can Call Me Al,". He would hold the railing and try to bounce up and down on his mattress in line with the tune while laughing away. It's really funny :D.
For the past two mornings, I carried him out of the cot when the alarm went off, and said to him, Jump, jump. Then he responded and started his bouncing act on the bed while laughing away, supported under the arm pits. It's amazing how he has grown.
This morning, I tried to see whether he could find his little yellow starfish. I hid it under the blanket and squeaked it a few times. He started looking around. But still could not find it. Then I showed him it was under the blanket. peek a boo!
Soon after, I was using my handphone, and he wanted to play with it. I decided to place it under my pillow as usually he would not look for it after that. But today, when he saw it being placed under the pillow, he lifted it up to look for the handphone. What delight! He is now beginning to understand object permanence. Uh-oh. This means that I cannot just place my handphone underneath my pillow anymore. Hmmmm... Baby, the Handphone is mommy's toy. Go and play with your own toy, ok?

Erin loves sitting at our staircase. Her record is at the 3rd step for now. She tumbled down yesterday night. Hope she learn her lesson and figure out why mommy always say 'NO'
