Baubles
"A bauble was originally a stick with a weight attached, used in weighing a child's toy, but especially the mock symbol of office carried by a court jester. This was a baton terminating in a figure of Folly with cap and bells, and sometimes having a bladder fastened to the other end. Subsequently it became a term for any triviality or childish folly. More recently the term means a virtually worthless decorative object. It has particular application to a Christmas ornament." (Taken from Wikipedia)
I woke up this morning and thought of what I had lost, and this word came to me: baubles. Precious stones are like baubles. Yep, that's the exact thought. Ah... baubles...
When I first realised the stuff were gone, after the initial anger and denial route, the next thing that came was this big desire, "I am going to really get some more and treasure them!!!" hahahaha. Baubles.
But time and opportunity lacking, (or forgotten in favour of books and groceries.. heheeh...) this morning, as things come to a close on our lives for this subject, the Lord kindly reminded me, they are like baubles, in the light of eternity.
Ehem. all being said and done, well... deep down in the little nook of my mind, I would still like to have just a few items; one or two of these "baubles" just for their pretty colours and decorative purposes. Perhaps someday, eh Lord? But it's not a definite must. Perhaps. Maybe. Reason? Like what Zig Ziglar wrote in his book, See You at the Top, "If the barn needs painting, paint it." ... Sometimes this "barn" needs painting and baubles like a Christmas tree does. hahaahahaahaah. Merry Christmas, folks -- and a wonderful new year :D.
