Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer's Last Samurai soundtrack is deeply moving. For some weird reason, or rather, on a strange whim, I decided to just google ancestral roots. And having this song on - I realised Hans Zimmer has captured the essence of the intense moments of this movie so well. It conveys depths of longing, searching. It makes me feel bittersweet, and somewhat appeals to my oriental psyche. hahah. However, this sound recorded here does not gives one a peaceful conclusion. The ending describes tragic unfulfillment with such beauty. An apt ending to the scene of blossoms flowing in the wind.
