missing the morning market...

I miss going to the morning market, looking at the seasonal vegetables, and fruits, and the pleasure of choosing and planning menus on the spot. I guess it's the idea of encountering fresh produce with people who are passionate about their produce. Somehow shopping at the supermarkets feels somewhat cold and sterile...

Maybe it's just me. I have not been able to go to the morning market for almost a year. That was the last time I bought air ripened pumpkins and ground ripened pumpkins. sigh.
