a child's reunion

Mankind has...
an emptiness that wont go away
a loneliness that keeps echoing
calling for that which was lost
crying for a presence once held dear
a weeping that wont be consoled
crying that has no end to anguished
a child crying for his Father

Above the tears and pain
Someone saw and wept a tear
Heavens hushed as the teardrop fell
A single being was brought to life
A life so precious so cherished
brought along all the hopes of He who wept
to restore the stolen lives crushed lives
broken hearts empty hearts

filling anew the hearts of men
the rush of love, of life, of joy, of hope
Of faith, of truth, of beauty,
restored were the powers of creation
bringing forth life and love
bridging the everlasting gap of separation
bringing mankind back to His arms
back to the garden where things first began
back to Him He who wept when He first lost them

He who was above pined for their return
Who saw their pain but couldnt console
Now rushed He to welcome them back
Tears splashing running down His face
brought forth great joy that ran through the heaven
Sounds of laughter and rejoicing filled the earth
at the sound of footsteps running back
what a sight indeed!
children running in everywhere
the child is back with the Father.
