Interface: in person, not virtual space
It seems so much has happened in these past two months. Friends we are close to have literally moved. Some from earth to heaven. Like the passing of a beloved aunt. Births. Death. celebrations of life. And I have two dear friends who have moved - literally uprooting themselves & families - and moved across the face of the earth. With one, I managed to spend some time with her. With the other, not so - sadly. Even our plans to go to the airport was derailed by sudden illness of little boy.
Then yesterday night, I had a conversation with another dear one - and again made plans to meet. Amazing how we can make plans, live right in the same city, and NOT meet. To solve this situation, this turtle is taking little steps. Meanwhile, we found a nice park somewhere else in the city. Yes, someone else's neighbourhood - but hey, it's a public place with a mall nearby. But what I love is the little park with swings and a place to fly kites and run around. Some things are for free (if you don't step near the mall).
I feel a bit lost in the midst of all this. Plus some other concerns hanging around. But hey, one more step to living more intentionally - is to reduce the interface with the computer unless really necc. Here's a toast to Dave Walker, one of our fav cartoonists - who dares to blogs stuff that are so true but sometimes no one dares to shout it out. hahahaha.
