Milestones: Almost walking

Almost walking. The little boy is about to walk. Two weeks back, he tried getting up to take a few steps in church. Later on that day, a friend who was playing with him encouraged him to walk a little. Hubby said he walked a bit further and at the end of it, the people around him cheered, and the little boy seemed aware that he had actually made an achievement. He actually fell later on in another attempt with a little head bump, but Hubby said when he had calmed down, he got up and attempted to walk again. It seemed on the attempt, he even intentionally lurched forward with hands before him to cushion the fall. (This I gotta learn).

Unusual behaviour. For months now, I noticed Baby used to crawl to the edge of the bed, and lower his hands to scratch the side of the bed. Wonder what he's thinking when he does that. Later I heard from one of the mothers, that her little boy does that too. hahahah.

Another thing is the head shaking. For no reason, he will just shake his head vigorously for some time. Or even gently bang his head against the feeding chair. Wonder what's on his mind. Discovered this is a common thing among some boys. Wonder what are they thinking of when they do that. hahaha.

Learning to climb down backwards. Baby used to climb down headwards. I even have a short clip of him lurching forward halfway down the sofa. yikes. Of late, the little boy has almost started climbing to the edge of the bed, then turns around and tries to lower half of his body down the mattress. Halfway doing that, he will quickly pull himself back up the bed with upper body "swimming motions".

I wonder if God has as much fun watching us grow in the things of God: scratching our little heads while stretching out our little toes apprehensively to touch the river of life, doing silly little arguments whether the supernatural still exists, playing swordfights with theological debates -- and shakes his head at us His children. :D
