"What on earth are you doing?"

Sometimes we do things which amazes ourselves and makes us shake our heads in wonder. Don't get me wrong. It's more like, "What on earth are you doing at five in the morning this hour washing Barbie doll clothes?"

Well, I do actually think it's half crazy and very funny to find ourselves in situations like this. All done in the name of passion. Ok, a partial revival of a baking passion. It's admittedly half crazy, though neccessary.

Seeing that this IS the season of Lent, may we all rediscover our first love for the Lord Jesus Christ, by doing our first works -- things that maybe crazy but magnanimous in the name of love; things that we did when we first encountered the Lord and did because we were crazily in love with Him. What were these things? One that came to mind was, I picked up the phone and called my friends excitedly, saying, "I'm a Christian!!!!" My friend of another faith said puzzledly, "Yes, but aren't you already a Christian before this?" I said, "Yes, but NOW I AM a Christian." So my friend probably shook her head at the other end. What was this crazy girl talking about?!?

Some people may end up shaking their heads at you, but who cares. Like a quote I once heard went, "I may be a fool for Christ, but whose fool are you?"
