milestones: thumb sucking

About a week and a half back, I was busy preparing dinner. I had left our baby on the mattress on the carpet. He was busy singing (his new form of expression), and doing his little happy shrieking when suddenly I realised he had gone quiet. Concerned, I came out to have a look. Little boy was busy sucking his thumb and had fallen asleep with thumb in the mouth. wow. he's growing up.

Since then, he has been sucking his thumb regularly when he's hungry. I guess since last week or so, he has stopped calling out for a feed at night. He just sucks his thumb in the cot. I take it as a sign, and feed him whenever it happens. Then he falls asleep. Thumb out. Contented. Since I do not hear him in the middle of the night after his last feed late at night, hehehe... I get to sleep through the night. Early in the morning, the little clicking sounds of thumb sucking starts again. :)

Makes me wonder... who is training who? hehehehe
