milestones: comprehension?

We got home today after a very long day out. Then hubby went out for dinner with his dad and bro. The little man and I stayed home so we could finish feeding him and put him to bed. After his milk, I put him to sleep in the cot. But he got up after turning a few rounds, holding on to the cot railing and toddling to and fro the cot. Our conversation went:

M: Are you hungry?
B: eh! (with sleepy eyes and a hopeful look)
M: Do you want to drink bottled milk?
B: eh!! (in a higher tone with a brighter look)
M: Mommy will carry you out to the playpen. Wait there while Mommy prepares the milk, ok?
B: EH!! (in a tone of happy agreement)

So B was carried and placed in the cot while mom realised she can feed him his quota of egg yolk for the day instead of milk. hmmmm...

M: You watch "Uncle Jason" while waiting for Mommy, ok?
B: eh!?
(then Mommy shows B the cover of "Uncle Jason" the live worship DVD)
B: EH!!!! (with eyes lit up and mouth smiling happily)

As the mother puts the dvd to play, she wonders whether she did the right thing??? hmmmm.. feeding Baby half and egg and a piece of prune. Then later after a few minutes of rest after food, brings him in to sleep in the room. B protested with a short cry, but was soon fast asleep.

Did B really understood her this evening? Hmmm... this Mommy seems to think so.
