quietly serving, hidden

KJV 1 Corinthians 12:14, 22-26
For the body is not one member but many... Nay much more those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honourable upon these we bestow more abundant honour and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need but God hath tempered the body together having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer all the members suffer with it or one member be honoured all the members rejoice with it

This passage has been speaking to me these past two mornings, esp. the verse about the weaker parts of the body... Why this specific verse? I think God is speaking to me. It applies to my current situation. My wrist has been hurting for more than a month.

I was carrying Baby one day when he suddenly turned, and I twisted my wrist. It hurt, but thought could ignore it. Hence my carelessness has caught up with me. Yesterday morning, the pain became unbearable - as i had another little incident when tripped and fell over the rug in kitchen. My hand with the hurting wrist blocked my fall near kitchn sink hence aggravating the matter. In the end had to see a doctor for a cortisome jab on the tendon. It really hurt. (the jab hurt more than the actual pain.) LOL

Since this morning, I had been thinking...
It seems like the wrist is a "hidden" obscure part of the body. But the hand together with the wrist and arm actually does most work in our lives. If the wrist is hurt, the hand becomes affected, and if care is not given, the hand becomes impaired.

In biblical symbolism, I suppose the hands and wrists represent serving. Servanthood work are done by the whole arm - without words spoken. I am reminded to serve more, as well as to make more effort to honour and care for those who are quietly serving, making everything beautiful and orderly.

Thanks for the reminder on humility Lord. ;P
