Until I behold Your face
I had the chance to attend a recent conference and heard a minister lead this song. The presence of God just filled the place with a sense of reverential awe as the people open their hearts in worthship. I have been thinking of how funny it was our pastor said that we sometimes sing too many songs with lyrics that gives the impression "Jesus is my boyfriend". hahahah. It's funny because I think it's true. And though it is wonderful that we love the Lord, we should acknowledge Him as Lord and God as well. Despite the aspect of God's humanity was revealed to us, and He is a personal God, I want to acknowledge that He is first and foremost -- our Lord and God. Hence, we should sing songs that rightly honour Him as who He is, that is the Lord. And the lyrics to this song describes exactly the sincere love for the Lord and the acknowledgement of the Lord as God. This is a beautiful song.
